Naturalistas Unite

I have been on my natural hair journey for about two years now. I've struggled with my hair, trying to find the right combination of products that work well with my hair. That's a journey of its own.

Along my journey, I've had the chance to follow some very interesting naturals who have kept me fairly positive throughout my journey! One natural hair blogger/vlogger/instagrammer is Annisa LiMara. Her Instagram name is ilovealimara. She had some peppermint hair butter and some natural t-shirts that I fell in love with! These are some pics of me wearing one of the shirts I purchased, which says: Curls, Kinks, & Fashion! Love it! The pictures are below!

Sunglasses: Ross Stores
Top: Anissa LiMara blog
Skirt: www.asos.com
Watch: www.asos.com
Necklace: Jewel Mint
Earrings: Closet Beauties (Instagram)
Shoes: Steve Madden flats purchased from Threadflip (app)
Lipstick: Shady Lady (melt cosmetics)
Bracelet: Can't remember?!?!

Well that's all for now! Thanks for reading!

Lipstick Love: Burst Cosmetics

I have a new love interest! Burst Cosmetics! Have you heard of this company? No! Well travel own down to Instagram, find their page, like their page, then check out their etsy site. The link will be in their bio section! They have a number of colors but I chose only one to start off with! It's called Calm-a-Kaze, a nice, matte peachy nude. This is what it looks like on my dark skin tone!

I can't wait to try a few more shades! This lipstick works really well with most, if not all skin tones! That's all for now my loves!

Fashion is Art! A Self-Rediscovery

It has been a while since my last post, but I've been trying to embrace the woman I am becoming. I've been taking time to reflect upon my life and how far I have come in my 31 years on this Earth. So here is what I have come up with!

Fashion is Art! Yes! We write our own stories! We create our own histories! We define our own legacies! We are responsible for ourselves and creating our own destinies! I choose not to allow society to bog my mind down with all its standards! They don't own me! I am my own person and I love making my own rules (and breaking the fashion rules as society feels they should control). Below are some pictures of myself as I have progressed through my self-reflection and life journey!

Doux Rag from www.ilovethedoux.com
Bonita Afro Balm tee from www.ilovethedoux.com
What I wore to church! Mint crop top, gray skirt, and gold belt from www.asos.com Three way vest from the social bliss box (www.socialbliss.com)
Faux patent leather shoes in black from www.shoedazzle.com
Gold Boyfriend Watch from www.asos.com
Straightened my hair with the Beautiful Textures Texture Manageability kit.
I loved this kit because you can go from straight to natural and back!

I just really love pink lipstick!
I was feeling myself a little too much (I'm showing a little teeth)

This black lip gloss is called Villain by www.abonicosmetics.com
Nothing going on here! Just your average, everyday Selfie! Tee hee hee!,

Pink lips and moustache earrings. The earrings were purchased from a seller on www.vinted.com (also has an app just called Vinted). You can find all kinds of wonderful treasures.

I love this top and necklace! Top purchased from www.hm.com from the Fourth of July sale. It was $4! Yay! Faux pearl earrings also purchased from a seller on Vinted (I used the app)

Always have to make time for my crazy (certified) and silly personality! Lol!

My hair wasn't acting right so I said eff it! I'll wash it tomorrow and try to style it! The life of a natural!
So I combed her! Yes, I've decided my hair is a she! Stay tuned for her name! She was so lovely on this day! Earrings were also purchased from a seller from Vinted (app purchase)

So I got bored and took a break in my car to capture some more selfies! I felt my hair was really on point on this day! Love it!
So at this point, I was on personality overload! I came to a conclusion on what her name would be! I have named her Stella!

So this has been the start of my journey of self-reflection and rediscovery! It's been a tough road for me dealing with a lot of personal issues including life drama and unexplainable pain, with no diagnosis in sight! All I can do is pray, believe in the power of prayer, have faith, and keep it moving!

I am currently reading a book by Kachelle Kelly called Boss Women Pray. It is a 31 day devotional, and when I keep at it, I find it to be inspirational! Everyone should read it!

Well it has been a long day! I hope you all are finding the lights to shine on your personal paths. Until next time my lovelies!
